Traditional massage
Full-body or partial massage
Traditional massage is one of the oldest remedies there is. It increases circulation in the skin, connective tissue and musculature, eases pain and general tension, has a positive influence on the internal organs, reduces stress, and improves our general well-being.

FOOT REFLEXOLOGY
Foot reflexology is more than just a foot massage: all organs have assigned reflex zones on the foot. Applying pressure with the thumb triggers reflex zones, which has an effect on the corresponding organs and body parts. We recommend a foot reflexology massage to mobilize and strengthen the body’s natural forces and to stimulate the organs for self-healing.

ACUPUNCTURE MASSAGE
according to Penzel
according to Penzel
Acupuncture massage is one of the oldest European meridian therapies with origins in traditional Chinese medicine and traditional acupuncture. The body is treated through its higher-level control system, the meridians. The therapist moves a stick along the meridians and acupuncture points. We recommend acupuncture massage when pain or discomfort are considered symptoms of disrupted energy circulation as well as for scar decontamination and spinal column issues.
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY*
This term refers to the cranium (head) and sacrum (bony structure that is located at the base of the lumbar vertebrae), which surround the central nervous system together with the spine. When the craniosacral system is disrupted by tension in the meninges, the movement of the meninges and bones of the skull is impaired or even blocked. An experienced therapist identifies blockages in the craniosacral structure and releases them with gentle touch. The therapy has a wide range of applications and is used for migraine, chronic neck and back pain, after accidents or operations, and can even help with emotional stress.

KNEIPP WATER JETS
In addition to the refreshing and invigorating effect, the Kneipp water jet treatment has many regulating effects: Blood circulation is stimulated and regulated. This brings the body’s heat balance (back) into equilibrium. The heat and cold stimulus of the water targets the autonomic nervous system via the skin nerves. This leads to a direct effect on the blood vessels or to a co-reaction of the various organs. For example, a knee and thigh treatment targets the organs in the lesser pelvis. An upper arm treatment, on the other hand, primarily acts on the chest organs (heart and lungs) as well as the head.
BACK FLASH
The back flash is a flash water treatment that is performed with a high-pressure water jet. Besides the temperature effect of a treatment, it also acts like a pressure massage. This proven healing treatment alternates between cold, warm, and hot. A back flash is an intense stimulus and is therefore only prescribed after medical consultation. We recommend a back flash for muscular tension in the back, for cervical and lumbar spinal disc syndrome, as well as for chronic disc damage. It strengthens the back, promotes circulation, and counters loss of appetite and metabolic weakness.
SCHIELE FOOT BATH
The Schiele foot bath is a rising foot bath that provides passive circulatory training. The initial temperature of the water is 30 °C (86 °F) and is increased by about 10 °C (50 °F) within 20 minutes. The warming of the blood on the feet stimulates the foot reflex zones and regenerates the internal organs. It is important to rest for at least 30 minutes after the treatment. We recommend a Schiele foot bath for disorders of the heat equilibrium (chronically cold feet), for colds in the early stages, for circulatory disorders, as well as acute and chronic urinary tract infections.
CONTINUOUS SHOWER APPLICATION
according to Dr. Lust
according to Dr. Lust
There is hardly any comparable hydrotherapy that can be individually adapted to the patient’s sensation and constitution. You lie on a padded bench while the 37 to 39 °C (98–102 ° F) warm water from a rail-mounted shower head sprinkles the body from a height of at least 1.20 meters (4 feet). The sprinkling acts as a gentle vibrating massage and loosens all tissue layers. It improves blood flow, flushes out old deposits, and provides an intensive lymphatic drainage. Moreover, it stimulates metabolism. The continuous shower application has a strong effect on the excretory organs. It stimulates strong waste elimination, not only from the kidneys, but also the intestines, lungs, and skin.

NATURAL MOOR MUD PACK
Natural moor mud has been successfully used for centuries as a heat or cold pack in physical therapy. Moor can be used in many ways: It is effective for treating rheumatism, muscle tension, and joint wear. It is antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, hormonally balancing, and penetrates deep into the tissue. Warm mud pack: in this procedure, a room-warm mud pack is covered with a heat carrier heated to 60 to 65 °C (140–149 °F) and wrapped around the desired body region. Cold mud pack: this is used for acute inflammations, sprains, and bruises. It has a heat-removing, decongestant, and anti-inflammatory effect.
FLOATING BATH
in the Soft-Pack Lounger
in the Soft-Pack Lounger
In the floating bath you lie relaxed on a water bed, wrapped in fragrant and nourishing additives. In addition to the soothing and warming effect of this “floating bath”, various bath additives are wrapped around your body with foil, allowing them to unfold their full effect. The slowly rising temperature and the “weightlessness” help the musculoskeletal system and supporting tissue to relax, thereby boosting the therapeutic effect of the treatment.

CHOOSE FROM THESE ADDITIVES:
- Meadow hay flowers have a detoxifying, invigorating, and decongestant effect
- Natural moor mud counteracts chronic, rheumatic symptoms and promotes blood circulation
- Seaweed has a purifying, draining, and detoxifying effect and stimulates blood flow.
- Goat milk butter soothes dry skin prone to irritation and reduces aging of the skin.
THE HAY SACK
The hay sack is a warm layer of hay, which exerts a localized effect on the area to be treated as well as a deep and reflexive effect on the underlying organs. The hay sack has a decongestant and relaxing effect, promotes blood circulation, stimulates the metabolism, soothes, and relieves pain. A hay sack is particularly suitable for non-inflammatory tensions of muscles and hollow organs (e.g. colic of the biliary ducts and in the gastrointestinal tract), signs of wear and tear of the spine and joints in the non-inflammatory stage, as well as for acute and chronic bronchitis. It is recommended as a supplement to fasting and F. X. Mayr treatment.
THE STEAM WRAP
In the steam wrap, a linen cloth is folded into a roll that is soaked with hot water and caraway oil. It is then rolled around the abdomen and wrapped tightly with a dry cotton flannel cloth. Two heat carriers enhance the effect of the steam wrap. Effect: intense, deep warming, antispasmodic, analgesic, relaxing. We recommend it for bloating, constipation, colic of abdominal and lower abdominal organs, bladder infection, to stimulate metabolism and weight loss, restlessness, and sleep disorders.
LEG WRAP WITH ALGAE (COLD)
The warm algae are mixed into a creamy paste and then cooled down to a temperature of 4–6 °C (39–43 °F). The cold paste is applied to the whole legs for about 20–30 minutes. The algae wrap has a toning effect and strengthens the resilience of capillary vessels. It also contains ivy and horse chestnut, which relieve congestion. We recommend the algae leg wrap for vein issues, pain in the legs caused by congestion edema (“heavy legs” due to poor circulation). An algae wrap is even more effective when it is applied to the legs after lymphatic drainage.
HOT TOWEL ROLL
a funnel-shaped rolled towel is soaked with hot water and rolled over the skin in targeted movements. This creates an intense, deep warming effect locally. We recommend a hot roll for localized warming after exposure to cold (e.g., in case of back pain), for bronchial diseases, as well as for general relaxation and loosening of muscles.
